Morgan Territory Regional Preserve, Old Finley Road Trail, 6.72 mi, 2 hrs 45 min

Old Finley Road Trail, 6.72 mi, 1600 ft elevation, 1400 Kcal, 2 hr 45 min

Time -2.45

Difficulty -4/10

This was a very relaxed hike, We came across deer, turkeys and llamas while driving to the hike, which set us in a good mood for the hike. The weather was very pleasant, with fog still hugging the hill tops.
We set a quick pace with a goal to return back before the sun became too harsh. It was an unventful hike and we turned back less than a half mile from the other end of the park on Morgan Territory Road with the promise to do it another day. The trail seems to have been recently tended to and allowed us to take fewer breaks.

Morgan Territory Regional Park, 6.3 miles, 1100 cal, 2:45min, 1720ft elevation

It was pretty cold at the start, but quickly warmed up. Lovely patches of purple wildflowers along the amongst the still green hills. We tried to set a fast pace and were pretty successful at it. We had some more friends from South Bay join us and hopefully the hike was worth the drive:). Also a shot of the green juice during the hike gave good boost to our energy levels.

Route: Old Finley Road, Sulphur Springs Road, BlackHills Trail, Crestview trail, Amphitheater trail and Old Finley Road

MORGAN TERRITORY HIKE, Old Finley RD 6.5 miles, 2hr 19min, 1044 KCal

It was a perfect day for hike. This is the first time we went to this Trail after last years' fire incident. The target was 6 miles. I was a bit skeptical whether I could do this. Some hiking pals dropped last minute so I was hoping I can get away with less number of miles :) But guess what, we did 0.5 miles more than target :) and also maintained good pace throughout. Overall, we felt that we are ready for next week's big hike to Black Mountain. By the way, since we crossed 1000 Cal we are going to treat ourselves in the evening @VB.

Lonely hiker

Left is Mt Diablo and right is North peak
which we are going to hike soon

Sincere hikers:)
