Tyler Ranch Loop 6.5 Miles

The Tyler Ranch Staging Area 6.5-mile loop was a real test of endurance! The continuous uphill climb made it tough to catch my breath at times, pushing my stamina to the limit. But the effort was worth it, with rewarding views at the top. The descent, though easier on the lungs, was brutal on the knees, making it a challenge. Overall, it was a tough but satisfying hike—definitely one for those looking to push themselves!

Amidst the challenge, the California poppies and wildflowers were beginning to bloom, adding vibrant splashes of orange, yellow, and purple along the trail. The fresh spring air and the sight of rolling hills covered in color made the trek even more special. Despite the difficulty, the beauty of nature kept us going—definitely a hike to remember!

Little Yosemite falls, Indian Joe Creek Trail and Flag Hill Trails etc

7 of us set out on a 6.2-mile hike in Sunol Regional Park, covering a mix of scenic trails. For some, it was their first time exploring Sunol, and they were mesmerized by the stunning views. We started on Canyon View Trail, which offered breathtaking sights of rolling hills and the winding Alameda Creek below. The gradual climb led us to Indian Joe Creek Trail, where the lush greenery and the sound of running water added to the peaceful ambiance.

As we gained elevation, we reached Vista Grande, a perfect spot to take in panoramic views of the Sunol Wilderness. The bright wildflowers and the distant peaks made the climb worthwhile. By the time we wrapped up, more hikers were arriving—many with kids and dogs, ready to start their own adventure. Sunol’s beauty and peaceful trails left us feeling refreshed and eager to return!

Las Trampas Ridge Trail 6 miles

Las Trampas Trail, which once seemed like a moderate hike, now felt quite challenging! The first half was a constant uphill climb, testing every bit of my endurance—especially after my second bout with COVID. The rolling green hills stretched endlessly, glowing under the sun, while breathtaking 360-degree views made every pause worthwhile. The air was chilly, but the sun was starting to show its sharpness. The trail was rugged, and my legs burned with every step. By the time we reached the top, I knew—I needed to step up my fitness game. The descent was easier but no less thrilling, weaving through scenic ridges and valleys. The gang and I soaked in the views, already plotting our next challenge. Mount Diablo in mid-April—no turning back now. Time to train!

Castle Ridge Trail

Castle Ridge Trail was a beautiful hike with lush green hills all around. The six-mile trail had a mix of steep climbs and easy paths. As we walked, a soft fog rolled in, making the views even more magical. Sometimes, the fog cleared just enough to see the valleys stretching far below.

The air was fresh, and the sounds of birds filled the quiet trail. The cool breeze and earthy smell made the hike feel refreshing. At the top, the view was breathtaking, even with the mist floating through. Walking back down, the scenery kept changing with the shifting fog. The hike was peaceful, yet a good challenge. I already looking forward to coming back.
